DockDeploy app icon

Drop a folder on your Dock.
It’s live on Netlify or Vercel.

DockDeploy is a free Mac app for Netlify and Vercel users. Drag your site’s build folder onto its Dock icon and it deploys. It picks the right site by name.

How it works

Connect once

Sign in with Netlify, Vercel or both. DockDeploy keeps your sign-ins in your Mac’s keychain.

Drop your site

Drag a site folder, a project, a .zip or a single .html file onto the DockDeploy icon.

It’s live

Progress shows on the Dock icon. A notification links to your site, with a button to copy the link.

Fast, and hard to get wrong

Finds the right site

A folder named my-portfolio, or my-portfolio/dist, deploys to your my-portfolio site. It asks once for anything else, with thumbnails of your sites, then remembers.

Preview first, publish when ready

Hold ⌥ Option while dropping, or make it the default, to get a separate, unlisted preview link. Publish it from the notification when it looks right.

Undo in one click

Dropped the wrong folder? Undo puts the previous version back instantly, and any earlier deploy can be made live again.

Builds your project

Drop a whole project and DockDeploy runs its build command from netlify.toml or package.json, then deploys the output. It warns you if a folder looks like source code.

Uploads only what changed

DockDeploy sends Netlify a fingerprint of every file and uploads just the new ones, so redeploys take seconds.

Check it on your phone

Every deploy has a QR code, so you can open the preview or live site on your phone straight away.

Creates new sites

No site for this folder yet? Name one and DockDeploy creates it, in whichever of your teams you choose.

Deploy from anywhere

Right-click a folder in Finder, use the Shortcuts actions, or press a keyboard shortcut to redeploy the last folder from any app.

Git-aware

Each deploy is labeled with its branch and commit, folders are matched to the site that builds from their repository, and you get a heads-up before deploying uncommitted changes.

Netlify or Vercel

Connect either or both. Sites and projects show up side by side, and dropping a folder works the same way for each.

Private by design

  • Your Netlify sign-in stays in your Mac’s keychain.
  • Your files go straight from your Mac to Netlify and nowhere else.
  • No accounts, no analytics, no tracking.
